Learning with Cilgwyn
Cilgwyn aims to provide original high quality workshops for schools. By bridging the gap between Theatre in Education and professional fringe theatre Cilgwyn are able to provide workshops that take pupils through the complete process of creating theatre.
Bespoke Workshops and Residencies
Cilgwyn offer a variety of workshops and residencies to suit each subject and age. All of our workshops are bespoke, created specifically for your students and to fit in with your timetable and schemes of work. Workshops can be based around four seperate areas:
- Devised and Physical Theatre
- Movement and Contact Improvisation
- Puppetry
- Theatre Design
Our Bespoke workshops and residencies allow you to mix and match our skills to suit your students.
Performance Projects
Our Performance Projects look to involve pupils from the very beginning of process of creating a show. Students will be able to follow the production process through the blog and podcasts on the Cilgwyn website, participate in workshops that will feed into the production and finally, come and see the finished product, the performance. Cilgwyn intends the performance project programme to act as a symbiotic experience between actors and pupils. This gives a degree of ownership and involvement to the process which is integral to the Cilgwyn approach. Pupils are able to follow and be a part of the process of devising theatre.
